Leadership Responsibilities

Lisa Martinez is the Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer for Lee Health.

She is responsible for defining and overseeing the execution of Lee Health’s strategic planning process, focusing on proactively identifying and analyzing consumer needs, industry trends, disruptors and business models that positively impact patient health and health care delivery. Lisa also is responsible for exploring and implementing ideas for how innovation can be used throughout the consumer/patient lifecycle to reduce the total cost of care while providing a positive patient-provider experience.

Professional Experience

Lisa joined Lee Health in September 2020 as Vice President, Strategy and Innovation. In this role, she expanded Lee Health’s capabilities in strategic planning, launched an innovation program and assumed responsibility for the Performance Excellence Office.

Prior to joining Lee Health, Lisa spent 20 years at AARP where she more recently served as Vice President of Business Optimization. While at AARP, she was a consistent driver of growth for the organization and managed a portfolio of more than 15 health care products designed for senior citizens around the country. She was instrumental in leading AARP’s award-winning Baldrige Performance Excellence journey and has served for several years as a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Examiner.

Education

Lisa earned a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brown University in Providence, R.I. and a Master of Business Administration from Clark University in Worcester, Mass. She is a graduate of the Executive Leadership Program at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and is certified in human-centered design and organizational design.
